👉What if you don't have the dimensions when you want to customize the anti-skid mat for your boat? This video will show you how to make a template for your boat.
Please prepare the following tools before starting to make:
- - Customer Information Sheet
- - Masking Tape
- - Sharp Razor or Scissors
- - Pen, Marker (It is best to prepare three pens of different colors to record different data to prevent confusion)
- - Ruler and Tape (Ruler)
- - Transparent Template Material
So after the tools are prepared, you can start making.
Step 1: Clean and Cut
- Simply clean the area where you need to work to ensure that it is more convenient to work. First, spread out the transparent film and place it on the required area of the boat deck, and cut the transparent film into the appropriate size with sharp scissors.
Step 2: Fix the transparent film material
- After the transparent film is cut into the appropriate size, use masking tape to fix the transparent film in place.
Step 3: Draw Lines
- Use a black pen and ruler to draw straight lines, try to draw them straight, and mark the left and right directions of the transparent film after drawing
Step 4: Record Dimensions
- Measure the dimensions with a ruler and mark the dimensions to reduce the error caused by the deformation of the transparent film. Please indicate the grain direction of the required pattern.
- When there is a railing in the location to be drawn, you can follow the video operation and mark the vertical distance between the hole and the four sides.
Step 5: Record Customer Information Sheet
- Write your name, address, ship model/manufacturer on the template.
- Mark the bow and stern direction, port and starboard.
- Then draw every location that needs to be drawn on the entire ship, and number each part, marking the bow, stern, and any hinges, latches, wrinkles or cuts that may need to be addressed.
- When there are 2 or more templates of the same size for certain individual parts, you can trace just one part, mark how many identical parts there are, and mark if it is symmetrical or identical in construction
Step 6: Mark Direction
- If you want to apply a teak pattern or have chosen a color combination, indicate the desired direction (bow to stern) and include that information on the template as well.
Step 7: Photograph
- Once the drawing is complete, take a photo of the entire template to clearly show where each individual part will go on the boat. Then send the photo to info@hzchione.com
Follow these steps and you will have successfully created a template for your custom boat kit. If you have any further questions, please contact me!
